From Idea to Reality: The Evolution of Meno Melanin
Growing up, I always felt special. My family showered me with so much love that I never felt like my albinism was a disadvantage. I recognized that I was different from everyone at school, and on the playground but I was made to be believe that I was a princess and nothing less. The older I became however, the more I was exposed to harsh realities of life; not all albino young boys and girls felt that special. They were often bullied, laughed at and treated as second class citizens. It was then that I knew that I understood what my purpose was. I was born to be empower other children with albinism, to make them feel as special as I still do and to be a blessing to those in need. In 2017, Meno Melanin was born, with the sole purpose of educating families and communities and providing aid to young albino boys and girls all over the world.
